COVID-19 – 17 March 2020

Business continuity at Pi Partnership Group

We are closely monitoring developments regarding coronavirus and are doing everything we can to maintain our service to our clients and protect our people. Continuing to support our clients is central to our contingency planning and we are focused as a team on ensuring we are able to maintain the quality of our service.

We currently have a number of measures within Pi to ensure that we have full business continuity when dealing with a wide variety of significant events (such as the possible impacts of coronavirus), and these are tested regularly as part of our Disaster Recovery Plan.

We have recently invested heavily in our IT and telecommunications systems and our team can securely access all data and systems remotely whilst following our established and accredited business processes, ensuring the continuation of client confidentiality and integrity. All of our consultancy and trusteeship colleagues have laptops and mobile communications access and can work remotely whenever required. We also have contingency plans in place to extend this to the remainder of the team should our office need to close, or an individual is asked to self-isolate. This will ensure they are able to work from home and can be contacted by phone or email in the usual way.

Our collaborative structure means that we have a framework in place which enables the team to fully support each other and ensure continuity of service for all our clients. We have access to flexible working patterns that means we can readily cover significant levels of sickness. In addition, given the highly skilled nature of the Pi team, we are able to cover a wide range of services and ensure that our clients are fully supported at all times. This includes maintaining the ability to manage any issues arising in regard to GDPR in line with our roles as Data Controller and Data Processor.

Supporting business as usual

Face-to-face meetings are an important element of our service. Should it not be possible to meet face-to-face, due to Government guidelines, or if you wish to conduct meetings on a remote basis, we have excellent facilities already available for both telephone and video conferencing.

We are taking the added precaution of introducing a visitor checklist asking visitors to confirm that they have not visited any category 1 or 2 countries within the last 14 days (as listed on the Government website below) before entrance can be granted to our premises.

In addition, if any of our team have travelled to any of the category 1 or 2 countries within the last 14 days, or if they or any members of their immediate family, have a persistent cough and/or temperature, we are asking that they self-isolate in line with the current Government guidelines and that they do not attend the office or external meetings.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and will take the appropriate action as necessary.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding during this time. Should you have any queries at all, please feel free to contact us.
